What you’ll own
- Performance & Strategy:
- Lead performance marketing strategy across a multi-client B2B portfolio, guiding the team in planning, experimentation, attribution, and optimization.
- Own the roadmap and long-range planning for the Paid Media department, ensuring the team is ahead of platform changes and B2B industry trends.
- Develop frameworks for testing, measurement, insights, and quarterly planning.
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead and develop managers, specialists, and multi-disciplinary pods; build career paths, training, expectations, and succession plans.
- Set and uphold standards for delivery, QA, reporting, and cross-team collaboration.
- Build a team culture rooted in clarity, curiosity, consistency, and accountability.
- Client Leadership
- Act as a senior advisor to C-suite and VP-level client stakeholders.
- Guide annual planning, investment decisions, KPI alignment, and performance narratives.
- Ensure retention, satisfaction, and strategic growth across the client base.
- Operational Excellence
- Partner with Finance and Ops to own forecasting, staffing models, and margin health for the Paid Media department.
- Align with Sales on scoping, pricing, and deal qualification to ensure new engagements meet margin and resourcing requirements.
- Build scalable systems and playbooks to reduce single-person dependency and improve operational consistency
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Creative, SEO, and Analytics to deliver integrated campaigns and consistent client experiences.
- Ensure strong handoffs, clear roles, and productive collaboration across teams.
- Partner with Sales on sales pitches by co-developing the media strategy, shaping the narrative, and representing Paid Media in prospect conversations.
- Innovation and AI-enablement
- Champion modern workflows using AI tools and automation to reduce manual lift and increase quality.
- Pilot new ideas, establish repeatable frameworks, and lead the team through shifts in platforms, privacy, and measurement.
Requirements
- 10+ years in digital advertising with deep B2B performance marketing experience across major channels.
- 5+ years leading multi-disciplinary teams, including managers.
- Experience owning 7–8 figure media budgets and delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, CAC, ROAS, and margin.
- Strong financial acumen across forecasting, capacity planning, and margin management.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale team structures, workflows, QA processes, and operating systems.
- Executive-level communication skills: clear strategic narratives, strong presentations, and confident client leadership.
- Experience partnering closely with Creative, Analytics, and SEO teams.
- Comfort guiding adoption of AI, automation, and data-driven processes to elevate team output.
- A track record of developing people: coaching, leveling, hiring, and building a healthy team culture.
- Continuous learner with a strong sense of curiosity and a bias for action.
